‘We Can Change It’ is a gorgeous EP comprised of two deeply flowing house tunes

bursting with heat. Both songs strive for a dreamy effect, but set a unique mood ideal for

those dreamy summer sets.

We Can Change It

In the title track a forceful, driving percussion entwines a delicate piano dub, all bought

together by a loose vintage vocal. The grooving bass line emerges and the super mellow

voices take you on a jaunt of trippy house and sun drenched beats. With a reclining yet

forceful groove, the song has the ability to affect both peak time and warm-up sets.

The immaculately produced percussion really drives the tune forward, but when added to

the warm bassline and male vocal snippets, creates a deliciously effortless dance-floor

track.

I Feel Hype

The flip side comes in with equal strength and groove. ‘I Feel Hype’ is track encompassing

a moody percussion and a contagious vocal loop. The fading synth embodies the track

and the rising female vocals add to the intensely lush and up-lifting flavour. The lyrics ‘I

Feel High’ slowly rise through the break-down, ending in a delicately refined drop. Again,

the masterfully composed percussion provides the back bone of the track, but when all the

elements are combined, an intensely uplifting and rich atmosphere is created.

All in all, ‘We Can Change It’ is a beautifully crafted EP filled with rich grooves and bright

vocal inspired house cuts.

I asked Jacob Bech the reason why of the title “BEND”, he answered: The reason I called this track ‘bend’ is because I was kind of visualizing bodies bending and dancing to the beat when getting blasted by soundwaves: it’s about picturing soundwaves pulsing and giving in to the music and that’s all.

Jacob Bech was born in Copenhagen but spent his formative years as a DJ in Ibiza; he has now returned home a master craftsman with his eyes set on chart topping productions to complement his wicked arsenal of DJ skills honed on the island. His first release, “The Eleven EP”, was described as “infectious melodies, hip wiggling beats and rolling deep grooves” and “Naranja”, culled from the single, also found its way on to the Mountain Deluxe compilation from Believe Electro in early 2011.Big thanks not only to Jacob but also Aki and Chris Minus who have done, as always, a great and powerful remixes.
